January 8, 2020 – United Way of Nevada County will be hosting a California CareForce (CCF) health clinic on Saturday, January 11th and Sunday, January 12th. The Free 2-day Health Clinic will be held at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, with appointments all day. Patients need to receive a wristband the day before being seen. For an appointment on Saturday, wristbands will be available on Friday 4pm-6pm at the Fairgrounds, and on Saturday 4pm-6pm to be seen on Sunday.
The County of Nevada Transit Services will provide system-wide “Free Fare Days” on all routes Friday, January 10th, from 5:50am- 8:00pm and on Saturday, January 11th, from 7:30am-5:00pm with free fares for all. The “Free Fare Days” will support the United Way/California CareForce Free Health Clinic by providing public transit service that supports clean air, a clean Nevada County and a healthy lifestyle! Access to and from the fairgrounds is available on Route 3. The bus stop is located on Brighton St. near the Draft Horse Monument. The bus will arrive at the bus stop eight minutes after the hour – from 7:08am to 7:08pm.

The United Way/Hospitality House van will also be providing transportation to their Outreach clients and Hospitality House guests during clinic days; Friday (for wristband distribution) through Sunday. For more information, contact Hospitality House.
