Grass Valley, CA – Preliminary bridge construction work, which includes cutting trees in the project area, will begin on Dog Bar Road between Monday, Jan. 27 through Friday, Jan. 31, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to prepare for the Dog Bar Bridge construction project starting this spring.
Please plan for 20-minute delays and adhere to all traffic control personnel and signage in the area.
In Nov. 2024, Nevada County Board of Supervisors approved contracts for the bridge replacement to Viking Construction Company and HDR Construction Control. The costs are paid for by Caltrans’ Highway Bridge Program. The project is planned to be completed by fall 2026.
