We are now accepting applications from interested nonprofit organizations based in Nevada County who would like to operate one of two available Treat Street booths during the 2025 Nevada County Fair. Unfortunately, due to declining membership and volunteerism, the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce and the Grass Valley Host Lions are no longer able to operate their Treat Street booths.

The Fairgrounds cherishes the exceptional and long-standing relationship we have had with the Grass Valley Host Lions Club and the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce.

โ€œWe look forward to continuing to work with the Fairgrounds in new ways and are grateful for the opportunity the Fairgrounds has provided us for all these years,โ€ said Lynn Skrukrud, Events Manager for the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce.

Interested nonprofits will be required to operate the booth all five days of the Fair from 10:00 am โ€“ 11:00 pm each day. If desired, the booth may also be opened during the annual Draft Horse Classic in September.

It is preferred that the selected nonprofit groups continue to sell corn on the cob in the former Lions booth and Hamburgers in the former Nevada City Chamber of Commerce booth, as they have both been a crowd favorite for decades! However, we are accepting other unique ideas. Some of the current booth equipment will be available to purchase from the former clubs for use going forward.

Both of these booths are located just steps away from the excitement of the Pine Tree Stage. This great location has a large earning potential and is a fun way to share information about your community nonprofit organization.

Proudly, the Nevada County Fairgrounds is one of only a few Fairgrounds that still showcase nonprofits as our primary food vendors. During the 2024 Fair, Treat Street nonprofits raised nearly one million dollars to support their programs. โ€œTreat Street is the heart of our Fairgrounds, and we value the partnerships with our nonprofit community,โ€ said Andrew Trygg, CEO of the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

To apply, complete the application found on our website at www.NevadaCountyFair.com under the โ€œFairโ€ drop-down menu. Applications are due by Friday, April 18, at 5:00 pm.

Join us for the 2025 Nevada County Fair, โ€œGold Pans & Cattle Brands,โ€ August 6-10, 2025.
