YUBA CITY, CA — The UC Master Gardener Program of Sutter-Yuba Counties is now accepting applications for its 2026 Training Program. Applications open August 1, 2025, and close October 3, 2025.
The program begins on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, and runs for 16 weeks with classes held weekly from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A mandatory orientation meeting will take place on October 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
The UC Master Gardener Program trains volunteers in research-based gardening knowledge to share with the community. Through community events, the Learning Garden, and the UC Cooperative Extension Help Desk, volunteers provide education on home gardening, pest management, and sustainable landscaping practices.

“This program is perfect for anyone passionate about gardening and eager to give back to the community,” said the Program Coordinator. “Our volunteers not only deepen their knowledge but also become leaders in promoting sustainable gardening.”
