The annual collection drive for warm coats, hats, gloves, and socks by United Way of Nevada County for those in our community who need them the most has begun. Donate these much-needed items so that others in our community can stay warm this winter. The majority of those in need are families with children who are just struggling to get by. This collection drive will help these households and individuals stay warm during the upcoming winter months.

Starting now through December 9th, new and slightly used warm coats, hats, gloves, and socks can be dropped off at the following locations:
B & C Ace Home and Garden Center, Brighton Greens Resource Center (WIC), Century 21 Cornerstone Realty, Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty, Eric Rood Center, Grass Valley Training Zone, Hills Flat Lumber, KNCO, Law Office of Beau Mayfield, Myers Investment Group, Nevada County Corp. Center (Dog Bar Rd.), Nevada County Public Health, Northridge Restaurant Penn Valley, Penn Valley Wastewater Plant, Penn Valley True Value Hardware, Sierra Nevada Childrenโs Services, South Yuba Club, SPD Market (Grass Valley and Nevada City locations), Telestream, Tri-Counties Bank (Grass Valley and Nevada City locations), and Westamerica Bank (Penn Valley).
United Way of Nevada County is working to ensure that the basic needs of all our community members, specifically food, clothing, and access to health care, are met. United Way of Nevada County envisions a community where all individuals and families achieve their desired potential through healthy lives, education, and income stability.
