United Way of Nevada Countyโs Project Warmth collection drive is underway, helping provide warm winter clothing to local individuals and families in need throughout Nevada County.

Community members are encouraged to donate new or gently used warm coats, hats, gloves, and socks to help our neighbors stay warm during the colder months ahead. Many of those served through Project Warmth are local families with children who are struggling to make ends meet, and every donated coat helps make winter a little easier.

Donations will be collected now through December 15 at participating businesses and organizations throughout Nevada County, including:
B & C Ace Home and Garden Center, Baird, Meyers Investment Group, Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty, Connecting Point, Interfaith Food Ministry, Eric Rood Center, Grass Valley Training Zone, Hills Flat Lumber, KNCO, Law Office of Beau Mayfield Penn Valley, Provisions, True Value Hardware Penn Valley, Sierra Nevada Childrenโs Services, South Yuba Club, SPD Market (Grass Valley and Nevada City locations), Tri-Counties Bank (Neal Street and Sutton Way branches), and Westamerica Bank (Penn Valley).
This yearโs Project Warmth is proudly sponsored by Dignity Health and DO HVAC, Danny Oliverโs Heating & Air.

Project Warmth shopping days will be held November 20th and December 4th, 11th, and 18th, giving local individuals and families the opportunity to select the warm clothing they need for the winter season.
United Way of Nevada County is committed to improving the quality of life for residents of Nevada County by addressing essential needs and strengthening the safety net of services available to our most vulnerable neighbors.
