Placer County: When we close roads, it is for your safety. A CAL FIRE / Placer Fire crew rescued these folks from a closed stretch of West Wise Road near Lincoln earlier today. The road was marked closed and water was thigh high and fast moving. Please, don’t take the chance! Even if you don’t see a road closed sign, if you see standing water, don’t try to pass it.
