Do you have a few spare hours to help raise organic food for families experiencing food insecurity in our community?

If so, your time could make all the difference.

The Interfaith Food Ministry has worked on our organic farm for the past four years and has provided fresh organic food for their patrons. In 2023, they harvested over 3500 pounds of organic fruits and vegetables for the community.

Volunteers listen to the birds and breathe the fresh air as they work the rich soil to plant, weed and harvest vegetables. In the fall, they help with the apple harvest, all under the supervision of Venus Paxton, the IFM employee in charge of the program.

Our farm is just five minutes from downtown Nevada City, on eight vibrant acres.

But this year, the program is in danger for a lack of volunteers.

If you are a gardener or want to be, (no experience necessary) and want to help our community, please contact Venus or me to volunteer. The community will be grateful.
