Nevada City, Calif. โ A vote center opens Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Nevada County Government Center and will be open daily through Election Day, Nov. 3 for the General Election.

The vote center is in the Providence Mine Room, 950 Maidu Ave., Nevada City. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily through Nov. 2 and 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.
Once that vote center opens, in-person voting will stop at the Ballot Processing Center, 12740 Loma Rica Drive, Grass Valley. The last day of in-person voting at the Ballot Processing Center is Friday, Oct. 23.
At vote centers, voters can register to vote, vote in person, drop off a completed ballot, get a replacement ballot, use accessible voting equipment, and receive language assistance.
They can also use โSign, Scan and Go.โ Voters can fill out their ballot at home, then bring it to a vote center and scan it themselves โ allowing them to personally see that their ballot has been recorded and will be counted in Election Night results.
Voters may also return their ballots at one of 18 official ballot drop boxes. Check www.nevadacountyca.gov/votemap for the locations closest to you. Check www.nevadacountyca.gov/votehere for full list of voting locations.
Finally, voters may return their ballots by mail (postage paid). They are encouraged to do so by Tuesday, Oct. 27 or go inside the Post Office and get their envelope hand-stamped. Only ballots postmarked by Nov. 3 will be counted. The Post Office sends mail to Sacramento and Reno for postmarks, which takes time.
