September 9, 2019 – The Madelyn Helling Library is pleased to announce a Fall Watercolor series sponsored by the Nevada County Friends of the library. The class will include one class per month September through November.

Classes will be taught by local artist Dori Greenbaum. Dori is a talented watercolorist who has been painting for many years and is an exhibitor at Art Works Gallery in Downtown Grass Valley. She has captured many beautiful scenes and landscapes from our county in her art.

Dori will walk participants through the process step by step creating local landscapes from the beginning sketch to mixing the right colors. Dori’s approach to teaching offers artist of all levels the opportunity to partake. Attendees will leave each class with a finished piece of artwork and all supplies will be provided courteous the Nevada County Friends of the Library. The classes will take place at the Madelyn Helling Library in the Community Room on the following dates:

  • Local Flower Fields – Friday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Bear River Landscape – Friday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Nevada City Street Scene – Friday, November 1st at 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
