Long time Nevada County residents Paul and Betty Towne are taking their local entertainment venture to the next level with Your Towne LLC and a new association with Western Gateway Park to bring Nevada County a great new summer concert series, “Rock’n the Gateway” with four fantastic events highlighting professional artists in a wonderful outdoor park setting.
The series kicks-off on May 26, 2024 with “Viva Santana”! For nearly two decades “Viva Santana have been re-creating the classic Santana sounds & performing Santana’s Greatest Hits and More. Their exciting shows keep people dancing to the Classic Santana sound including the soaring guitar solos, smooth vocals and classic Latin Rhythms plus a horn section! June 8, 2024 features the music of the Eagles tribute band “One of These Nights”. One of These Nights is a 2+ hour note-for-note tribute to the Eagles and the solo work of Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Joe Walsh. You will hear all of your favorite hits from “Take It Easy” to “Hotel California” with some surprises in between. One of These Nights does not simply play the music of the Eagles, they become the Eagles.
The music of Bob Seger and CCR will fill the pavilion grounds on July 27, 2024. “CCSegeR” is a 6-piece band that gives a high-energy live performance of two amazing tribute bands in one. We take audiences on a ride through the rock and roll classics of Bob Seger and Creedence Clearwater Revival that drives crowds of all ages to the dance floor.
Our summer series concludes on August 24, 2024 with the hottest horn line this side of Oakland! “Hipper than Hip” was formed in 2015 with the goal of bringing back the classic sounds of great horn line bands. We drew inspiration mostly from Tower of Power and then added Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Aretha, Tina, Stevie, Bruno, and more. If they had a great horn line, and our fans would love it, we wanted to play their music. Take a listen and see why crowds love this band!
