October 11, 2017 – The Yuba County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is investigating the discovery of a body located at a burned residence in the 12000 block of Douglas Way in Loma Rica at approximately 1:30pm October 10, 2017. The remains were discovered during a welfare check conducted by Sheriff Deputies at the residence on Douglas Way, after a citizen reported a family friend missing at that location following the Cascade Fire evacuations.
The identity of the deceased is pending official confirmation and notification of next of kin.
