An estimated 3,700 to 4,000 people showed up on Saturday afternoon to participate in the local No Kings demonstration in the Brunswick Basin in Grass Valley. The peaceful event drew a much larger crowd than the previous event.

Traffic was slow coming from Hwy 49, but the majority of drivers were good-natured.

Locally, Indivisible Nevada County was the main organizer. The national No Kings Coalition issued a statement saying, “Today, across red states and blue, rural towns and major cities, Americans stood in peaceful unity and made it clear: we donโ€™t do kings.”
