10th Annual Howl-o-ween Dog Mob in Grass Valley on Oct. 27

Grass Valley, CA – It’s that time of year again, where tails wag, paws prance, and costumes get a little *barktacular*! On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., the streets of Downtown Grass Valley will go to the dogs—literally! PAWS’itive Pals Dog Training has paired up with the City of Grass Valley for the second time, and we are all excited to invite all well-behaved pups and their human companions to the 10th Annual Howl-o-ween Dog Mob, Dog Costume Parade, and Contest. This FREE, *fur-tastic* community event promises to be a tail-wagging good time for the whole family. Our local businesses and restaurants will have specials and sales; shop local 🙂.

With last year’s event hosting 662 doggy participants, we’re raising the *ruff* this year with a goal of 1,000 four-legged friends showing off their best costumes! From the spooky to the silly, the *paw-rade* will be filled with bone-chilling cuteness and lots of wagging tails. So, get your pup’s costume ready because the competition is on!   

Highlights include:

• Howl-o-ween Parade: Bring your *pawtner* in crime and march down Main Street in style! Whether your pup is a superhero, a spooky ghost, or a hilarious hot dog, this parade will have you *barking* with laughter. 
• Costume Contest: Think your pup’s costume is the most *barktacular*? Strut your stuff and compete for the coveted title of “Best In Show,” “Most Creative,” “Best Group/Theme,” and “Paws-itive Spirit Award.” There will be paw-some prizes for the most creative costumes, and trust us, the competition will be fierce… but *fur-tastically* fun!   
• To enroll in the contest, participants must sign up via the City of Grass Valley’s contest link at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScZadlR0UqOJORrthu8uJDNOft–a18pfCkpzQVb1kQYseJrA/viewform or scan the QR code on the event flyers. When you arrive at the event, stop by the booth to receive your number to display for the judges along your route.
• Family-Friendly Fun: It’s not just about the dogs! This event brings joy to everyone, human or otherwise. Dress up in your own costumes and join in on the fun. There will be music, treats, and plenty of opportunities for a howling good time! 
• Cool new addition to this event: bring yourself a seat; pack a chair, sit back on the sidewalks and cheer on the participants.
