November 18, 2020 – “Women and Youth in Classical Music: Tales from InConcert Sierra” is the focus of the November 21st ZOOM meeting of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Nevada County Branch. AAUW Members Barbara Drew and Robin Laverty-Reves, who also happen to be InConcert Sierra Board Members, will host the meeting, which is open to the public.

The November 21st meeting will feature interviews with Alison Skinner, recently appointed conductor of InConcert Sierra’s Master Chorale and Orchestra, as well as Ken and Julie Hardin, Artistic Director/SMC Music Director and Executive Director, respectively. A highlight will be hearing about InConcert Sierra’s Education and Outreach programs, including the “Composers Project with Mark Vance” and young female student composers sharing their compositions.
The meeting will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, November 21st, with attendees asked to log in to ZOOM between 9:30-9:55 AM. For information on attending the ZOOM meeting, go to the AAUW Nevada County Branch website, https://nevadacounty-ca.aauw.net/
