Come join us Sunday afternoon, October 17, noon to 4pm, for music, tours, craft shop, and more. Soroptimist and North Star House are working together to bring you a fun and relaxing event.

SHOPPING: Soroptimist will have their fabulous Artisan Craft Shop. Many of you are familiar with the beautiful, hand-crafted items they sell at their annual Garden Tour (which had to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021). Pick out your favorites. Start your holiday shopping early! And be sure to mark your calendars for the return of the Garden Tour May 21-22, 2022.

TOURS: There will be several tours available:

  • Docent-led tours of the historic Julia Morgan house. (Masks required in house. Vaccination requested, please.)
  • The Heritage Garden, with Master Gardeners as your hosts.
  • North Star self-guided legacy landscape tour. Bring your smartphone and take a walk about the grounds.

MUSIC: Sit outside and listen to the wonderful music of Harmony Groove. This local band of multi-talented musicians brings their beautiful harmonies to a mixture of nostalgic 60s and 70s classic hits plus an expanding set of originals in a wide variety of musical genres.

FOOD & DRINK: While you are relaxing and listening to the music, you can munch on Sweeney’s Weeneys, Lazy Dog Ice Cream, and Dr. Sarah’s Pie. Dr. Sarah will be selling slices of pie or you can purchase an entire pie to take home.  Wine, beer, and sodas will be available for purchase.

PLANT INFORMATION:  Got questions about what to plant or how to take care of what you have? Members of the Redbud Chapter of California Native Plant Society and members of our local Master Gardeners organization will be there. Redbud sells some books and educational materials. Master Gardeners will be your hosts in the Heritage Garden. Both groups welcome your questions.
