NEVADA COUNTY, Calif. October 27, 2020 – With one week to go before the November 3rd General Election, Nevada County voters have been returning their vote by mail ballots via the USPS, the 22 official ballot drop boxes or directly at the Elections Office.

As of last night, 34,637 ballots have been received by the Elections Office, representing 47% of the total ballots issued. By comparison, during the 2018 election, just 23,500 ballots (34.12%) had been tabulated at the close of polls at 8:00 pm.

Statewide, over 7 million ballots have been received by Elections Offices, 34% of the 21,987,400 vote by mail ballots issued.
