GRASS VALLEY CAlif. October 3, 2017 – At 1:49 this morning, Grass Valley Truck 2, Nevada City Engine 5482, and Battalion 2 were dispatched to a water flow alarm in a commercial structure on Clydesdale Ct. Truck 2 arrived to find a commercial structure with smoke showing from at least one suite.

Battalion 2 augmented the dispatch to a full commercial fire response bringing Grass Valley Engine 1, Prevention 3, Nevada Co. Consolidated Engine 84, and Cal Fire Engines from Fire Station 20.

After making entry crews found a smoldering fire with an active fire suppression system in the suite, smoke filled part of the complex. Firefighters were able to prevent damage to additional suites. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.

All units were released at 4:00 am.
