August 12, 2016 – Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release (WR&R) is joining with a favorite summer eatery and brewery for two special nights in August. Friday evening, August 19th at the Ol’ Republic Brewery in Nevada City, a percentage of the proceeds from beer sales will be donated to WR&R and on Wednesday, August 24, a percentage of food sales will go to WR&R from the Northridge, Penn Valley. The wildlife ambassadors including a Great Horned Owl, Barn Owl, Screech-owl, American Crow and and a King Snake will be in attendance on both evenings.
“August is a great month to stop by and have a beer with the Wildlife Ambassadors or abandon the kitchen for a night and head to the Northridge,” suggests Kathleen Willis, WR&R President.
“WR&R is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that rehabilitates injured or orphaned native wildlife and releases them back to the wild. All proceeds go to provide food and care for animals and birds in need. We greatly appreciate your support as do the animals,” concluded Willis.
