Orland November 9, 2018 – Glenn County opened an evacuation shelter at Glenn County Fairgrounds 221 E. Yolo St. to receive evacuees from Butte County. This shelter is operated by Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency staff trained by the American Red Cross. The shelter currently has over 100 evacuees.

Glenn County Sheriff’s Office – Office of Emergency Services has activated the Glenn County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to coordinate resources within the County and to coordinate information and resources with Butte County and California Office of Emergency Services (Cal-OES).

Donations drop off location will be arranged in the coming hours. Please hold donations until we have a location and staff to receive the donations.

We are unable to accept volunteers that are not associated with an organization at this time. We appreciate the community’s support. We will announce our needs and how you can assist as we arrange these activities and locations. Thank you for your patience as we ramp up our operations for this incident.
