SACRAMENTO,  Calif. September 11, 2017 – Members of the Grass Valley Fire Department once again took part in the 9/11 343 NYFD Memorial Climb in Sacramento today. Firefighters in full turnout gear climbed the “Renaissance Tower” located at 801 K Street in downtown Sacramento in memory of 343 New York Fire Department firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Reader Michelle Scarafiotti shared these pictures with us, stating “Every year our brave men and women get together to honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes. I’m so proud of my husband Anthony Scarafiotti and Grass Valley FD. This year my husband carried the name of Philip Petti. Everyone carried a name to the top, I’m so proud of all of them. Good job as always, Grass Valley FD  – NEVER FORGET.”
