Grass Valley, CA — Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) is calling on the community to come together this May for a powerful opportunity to double their impact in the fight against hunger. Thanks to a generous group of leadership donors, every dollar donated during the month will be matched dollar-for-dollar! The campaign has already secured $90,000 in matching funds, and IFM is now seeking community support to raise the remaining $90,000 to reach our goal of $180,000!

“This place saves me often. Such nice volunteers. Having their help makes it easier for me to make ends meet. I appreciate them very much.” shared one IFM client, highlighting the profound impact of community generosity.
Each month, IFM provides wholesome, supplemental groceries to thousands of individuals and families across Nevada County who are struggling to put food on the table. With food costs continuing to rise and economic uncertainty affecting many households, the demand for services remains high.
Supporters can give with confidence, IFM has earned the highest 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, demonstrating a strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and maximizing every dollar donated. In addition, IFM was recently named Best Non-Profit in Nevada County for the second consecutive year, reflecting the organization’s deep impact and strong community support.
Community members are encouraged to participate in several ways:
- Donate: Contributions made in May will be doubled, turning a $50 gift into $100, or $100 into $200.
- Give Monthly: Sustained donations help ensure long-term support for local families.
- Volunteer: Donating time is just as valuable in helping IFM serve the community.

Donations can be made online at interfaithfoodministry.org, mailed to 440 Henderson Street Grass Valley, CA 95945 or delivered in person.
“We are all in this together, working to build a healthier and more connected community,” said Victoria Lindsay, Development & Communications Director.
