Dry and mild weather continues into the weekend with another weak system possible early next week that may again bring breezy and unsettled weather over Northern California.

Discussion

Eastern Pacific ridge extending east over NorCal will keep dry and mild weather in place through the weekend. Gradient will remain enhanced this morning for locally breezy winds, but relax by midday with winds diminishing to less than 10 mph. Valley high temperatures will be from the upper 60’s to mid 70’s northern Sacramento valley.

Maximum temperatures forecast

A weak upper low will drop south along the coast Friday, no precip expected, but possibly some mid- upper level clouds. Ridge remains in place Saturday with light winds and warm temperatures in the 70 to 75 degree range. Weak system approaching from the north will bring increased clouds and slightly cooler temperatures Sunday.

Extended Discussion (Monday through Thursday)

Ensembles and clusters indicate trough deepening over the Great Basin Region early next week. Clusters are in good agreement with timing and position and have mostly aligned with a flatter more westward solution.

This would translate into breezy conditions, but not a significant wind event, as backed up by diminishing Euro EFI signal, which shows very little anomaly.

Breezy Winds next week

Will maintain NBM guidance in the extended with increasing north winds Monday into Wednesday with 20 to 25 mph gusts possible and 20 to 30 percent precipitation chances over the mountains and foothills.
