May 4, 2017 – After receiving strong applications for Nevada County’s Community Advisory Group (CAG) for almost three weeks, the County received fifty-one applications for the CAG. MIG started reviewing the applications as they were received in order to from a knowledgeable and balanced group to recommend to the Board of Supervisors. The applications represented a diverse group of interests from the community. All applications were considered and thoroughly reviewed and no applications were rejected in the process.

MIG is very pleased with the applicant pool and is confident in making their fourteen applicant recommendations, who will advise long-term County cannabis cultivation regulations, to the Board of Supervisors. Community Development Agency Director, Sean Powers, is happy with the process, saying, “We received a very strong applicant pool and we appreciate everyone who took the time to fill out the application.”
