November 4, 2020 – Nevada County Elections Office’s last update for election night reports 30,488 ballots counted out of 74,467 registered voters. Less than 50% of possible votes have been counted in Grass Valley and just over 40% in both Nevada City and Truckee.

On Monday evening, the Elections Office announced 51,994 vote-by-mail ballots had been received, representing 73% of total ballots issued. Only 25,051 of those appear to have been tallied so far, together with 2,884 early votes and 2,553 election day votes.

With over 25,000 ballots remaining to be counted, candidates and their supporters need patience and trust in the process.

The Elections Office will provide updates throughout the 30-day canvass period.
