Nevada City, CA – Nevada County Connects will resume regular Monday through Friday service starting Friday, Nov. 1. Due to a shortage of bus drivers, a temporary service reduction began Aug. 1 on Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

“Our staff would like to thank everyone for their patience while we had to reduce services. We know that this has been difficult for folks, and we appreciate that you have continued using our service,” said Transit Services Manager Robin Van Valkenburgh.
Additionally, on Nov. 1, Route 1 (Nevada City – Grass Valley) will increase frequency to every 30 minutes between 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
“Route 1 is one of our most popular routes connecting people to work, school and appointments. The service reduction has allowed us to successfully recruit drivers, which was the intent, so we may now increase the frequency to better serve our riders,” added Van Valkenburgh.
