Thank you parents, staff and students for your patience as we navigate the effects from this recent storm. Many roads remain littered with downed power lines, trees and snow. Nevada County Superintendent of Schools are working collaboratively with the County Office of Emergency Services, PGE, District Superintendents, Charter Directors and Durham Transportation to bring students back to campuses tomorrow, Jan 3rd.

Please note below arrangements made for your students:

-Grass Valley School District (with the exception of GV Charter) remain on their holiday schedule

-Chicago Park remains on holiday schedule

-Nevada County Special Ed program and Nevada City Special Ed programs are closed on Jan 3

-Yuba River Charter School is closed on Jan 3

-Union Hill School is open on Jan 3, however buses will not run

-North Point Academy will meet at Bear River High School on Jan 3

-SAEL students riding the bus will need to get to bus routes for pick up 15 minutes earlier than usual pick up (return route will be normal time)

-Nevada City School District will have a late start. Due to weather conditions and ice, schools will have a late start at 10:30 a.m. on January 3, 2021. Special Education buses will not be running. Regular bus routes will be two hours later than the usual pick up time and school will let out at its normal time.

-All other Nevada County Schools will be open at usual times.

Please plan for icy roads, slow driving and road safety awareness
