GRASS VALLEY, Calif. November 14, 2018 – Nevada Irrigation District (NID) will provide mutual aid support to Paradise Irrigation District (PID) during the Camp Fire emergency in Butte County. NID’s Board of Directors unanimously agreed to provide the support during its Nov. 14 meeting.
PID serves the Town of Paradise and delivers water to approximately 10,500 municipal, residential and commercial customers. The district’s water system includes 169 miles of transmission and distribution pipelines.
The Camp Fire started on Nov. 8 and rapidly spread, consuming more than 7,600 residences and 260 commercial buildings.
