March 30, 2020 – The Nevada Irrigation District (NID) announces it will reduce customer service hours until further notice due to the coronavirus COVID-19. The new temporary hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. During these hours, customer service personnel are available to assist customers via telephone and email at (530) 273-6185 and email@example.com.
To reduce the transmission risk of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of its employees, NID has made changes to customer service operations. This includes alternating the work hours of employees and the elimination of direct customer contact.
In addition to the temporary work hours, NID closed its Business Center in Grass Valley on March 20.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time and we will keep you updated on any further changes. NID remains committed to serving you and our community as we have for nearly 100 years. You can learn more about our efforts concerning COVID-19 on our website.

A note regarding COVID-19 – In the midst of growing fears about the spread of the virus, NID wants to reassure the public that its treated drinking water is safe. NID’s treatment processes are specifically designed to protect the public from viruses and harmful bacteria. Further, the EPA has indicated that the risk to water supplies is low and Americans can continue to use and drink water from their tap as usual. Learn more here.
