recycling drop off info

February 2, 2024 at 12:25 PM From reader Debbie: NEW RECYCLING DROP OFF OPTION–A sign is worth a thousand words! For those folks that troop all the way out to the McCourtney Road Transfer Station to drop off recycling, you now have an option that may be closer inโ€”Loma Rica Drive. In an effort to get the word out, the Nevada City SPD (a recycling location in a past life) has installed a sign to inform the public. Hopefully the new Loma Rica site near the airport can offer convenience for many folks, reduce traffic on McCourtney Road and relieve some congestion at the transfer station. The sign idea evolved from a concerned citizen and Real Graphics which helped with the cost of the sign. As a public service, Nevada City SPD graciously provided space for the sign. One minor step at a time to spread the โ€œwordโ€! Maybe in the future, a buy back location in town? Workinโ€™ on itโ€ฆ.
