January 13, 2024 at 8:52 PM Earlier this evening, Peardale Chicago Park Fire and Ophir Hill Fire were dispatched to a residential structure fire reported as a chimney fire. In route to the incident, units requested a water tender from Nevada County Consolidated Fire to respond additionally. Units arrived on scene and found a working chimney fire, quickly took action on extinguishing the fire and began searching for extension to other portions of the structure. The fire was contained to the chimney.
