February 20, 2020 – Nevada County is the central organization providing support and advocating for the local LGBTQ+ population, but without the help of dedicated community members, we will be unable to accomplish the important work that we do.

On Tuesday, February 25th, PFLAG is holding our annual Volunteer Recruitment Gathering, and this year we have some very particular needs. In addition to finding volunteers to help with our events and programs, we need community members to join our board and help us to continue creating a more diverse, robust, and vibrant community here in Nevada County. Positions that we are looking to fill include Treasurer, Secretary, Chair to our Support Programs, Communications Chair, and co-chair for Student and School Outreach. If you are interested in getting involved on a local level to make a real difference in our local culture, this is your opportunity to step up.

If you, or someone you know, would be a good fit to become a dedicated board member, we invite you to come to our volunteer recruitment gathering on the 25th. Alternatively, you can contact us directly via email at pflag@pflagnevco.com, via phone at (530) 274-7263, through Facebook at www.facebook.com/PFLAGNEVCO, or through our website at www.pflagnevco.com

The Volunteer Recruitment Gathering will take place on Tuesday, February 25th at 7pm at the Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains – 246 S Church St, Grass Valley.
