SARTA has distributed $1,200 in Youth Education Scholarship (YES) funds to six students to attend Summer Theatre Camps. The students range in age from 6 to 14 and will be attending camps at Sierra Theatre Company – Grass Valley, Davis Musical Theatre Company – Davis, River City Theatre Company – Sacramento, and OnStage Theatre Arts (NorCalArts) – Sacramento.
SARTA is excited to be awarding $200 to each child to offset the cost of their summer theatre camps. SARTA distributes the funds directly to the theatre holding the camp or workshop.
SARTA’s Youth Education Scholarship (YES) was created in 2022 to encourage parents to apply for financial assistance to help offset the cost of summer theatre camps in the greater Sacramento region. Since that time, SARTA has awarded over $3,000 to students-in need-between the ages of 5 – 18. The next YES application cycle will begin in May 2027.
