EAGLE LAKES INTERCHANGE October 19, 2016 – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists to anticipate traffic delays Wednesday, October 19 on Interstate 80 (I-80) near the Eagle Lakes Road exit 164 between Yuba Pass (State Route 20 interchange) and Cisco for boulder debris removal activities.
Motorists should anticipate delays as maintenance crews close all lanes of I-80 in both directions shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 19 while they use explosives to blast apart boulder debris too large for removal. The delay will last between 10-30 minutes as crews clear the area to insure motorist safety.
Motorists are advised to plan for additional travel time and prepare for delays. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.” The department will issue construction updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3.
