March 26, 2020 – In response to those wishing to make homemade masks,
We want to thank the amazing number of people wishing to make masks for healthcare providers. Please read the following carefully:
You can click HERE for the approved pattern. Anything for hospital personnel should use this pattern. Material and elastic for the masks should be purchased through Ben Franklin so we know where the fabric is coming from. You can order material over the phone by calling Ben Franklin at (530) 273-1348 or 273-1349. They would appreciate if you identify you are making hospital masks. They will offer you a curbside pick-up time between 12-5.
Please email kimberly.parker1@dignityhealth.org when you have finished your mask. Finished masks may be dropped off at the SNMH Foundation office at 140 Litton Drive, Suite 220, Grass Valley between 1-5 Monday – Friday. Please put masks into a ziplock bag or another bag that can be closed somehow. Include a note with the number of masks, your name, address and phone (in case there are questions).
We are incredibly grateful to our community for your assistance.
