July 16, 2018 – The Nevada County Public Health Officer and the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District are recommending that sensitive individuals, such as the elderly, children, people with asthma, people with heart or lung conditions, pregnant women and anyone who exercises or works hard outdoors should sign up for the Air Quality Health Advisory email list by visiting www.myairdistrict.com.
Signing up for this list will ensure that sensitive individuals receive emails whenever the Nevada County Public Health Officer and Air District issue a health advisory for poor air quality. The email will also contain valuable information about which actions to take to minimize negative health impacts.
