March 26, 2021 – Dry weather and a warming trend is expected through the weekend. A passing system cools temperatures slightly Monday with another round of breezy to windy conditions possible Monday and Tuesday.

Discussion

Warmer today with highs warming in the valley into mostly the mid 70s. Northerly winds continue but much weaker than the last event with sustained winds in the valley generally peaking between 10 and 20 mph with some higher gusts.

High pressure will continue to build on Saturday with highs well into the 70s for the valley and around 80 degrees for the far north end of the valley.

Mountains will mainly warm into the 50s and 60s. Continued above normal temperatures for Sunday under the ridge of high pressure with temperatures slightly warmer than Saturday’s highs.

Monday temperatures will cool a little due to a trough passing by the region to the north and maybe bringing a few showers over the far portions of state near the Oregon border. Behind the trough northerly winds will increase again late Monday and Monday night.

Extended discussion (Monday through Thursday)

North to east breezy to windy conditions will continue on Tuesday before subsiding Tuesday night(Valley) and Wednesday morning(Mountains).

The valley could see temperatures in the 80s for next Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure builds over the region with perhaps a few of the warmer spots on Tuesday warming to around 80 degrees.

Slight cooling may occur next Friday high pressure breaks down over the region.
