YUBA COUNTY, CA — At approximately 10:22 a.m. this morning, the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a private aircraft that had executed an emergency landing in an agricultural area of Feather River Boulevard and Curtis Road.
Although the aircraft landed without striking any objects on the ground, it sustained significant damage upon landing. Both occupants were transported to local hospitals with injuries reported to be minor to moderate. The cause of the emergency landing remains under investigation at this time.
The deputies who responded to the scene will be completing a report, which will be forwarded to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in accordance with standard investigative protocol. The identities of the individuals involved are not being released at this time. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
