GRASS VALLEY, Calif. February 15, 2017 – On Thursday, March 16th from 5pm to 9pm, Smiley Guys Smokehouse will host a fundraiser to benefit Partners in English Language Learning (PiELL). Smiley Guys Smokehouse slow-cooks their food, putting LOVE into each of their hand-made dishes, so that everyone leaves a SMILEY GUY or GAL! They even have vegetarian options. The new owner, George Cabanas, has pledged to donate 10% of all orders (including take-out and bar orders) to PiELL. Enjoy a delicious meal in a kid-friendly restaurant while helping a worthy cause.
PiELL, a 501(c)3 non-profit, offers free one-on-one ESL tutoring to adults in Nevada County. The volunteer tutors are trained during a 2-day session (next training May 6th &13th), and then matched with an adult student. Tutors meet with their students for an average of one to two hours per week at a location convenient to them. For information call PiELL at 265-2116.
