GRASS VALLEY, Calif. July 18, 2017 – Grab your bathing suit and a scrumptious dish to share and bop on over to Sierra Harvest’s 3rd Farm Potluck of the season this Thursday, July 20th from 5:30-8pm at Starbright Acres – a sustainable, local, organic family farm on 3.2 acres in Grass Valley, offering fresh vegetables and eggs.  Join our hosts Aleta & Ken Barrett for this third Sierra Harvest potluck of the season!  Come see a Nevada County farm grossing triple digits on one-acre in production.

Shop at their farm store during or after the potluck as it will be stocked with arugula, kale, salad mix, radishes, salad turnips, cilantro, green and gold zucchini, summer squash, trombetta squash, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, shallots, potatoes and eggs!

Their swimming pool will be open but all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian while in the pool area – safety first!

In the meantime, check out their farm stand at 12575 Polaris Dr in Grass Valley, or at the Nevada County Growers Market at the Historic North Star House.

Schedule of Events
Come at 5:30 for a tour of their solar powered farm with Farmer Ken & Aleta and meet these two joyful people! We’ll circle up for dinner at 6pm.

A bountiful dish to share, (its nice to label key ingredients for those with allergies)
A blanket or chair to sit on

Directions from Nevada City:
Starbright Acres located is located at 12575 Polaris Dr in Grass Valley.  From Hwy 49 in downtownGrass Valley/Nevada City, take Hwy 49 south. Take the CA-20/Empire St exit. Take the Mill St exit, and turn Right on Mill Street. Turn right onto McCourtney Rd. Turn left onto Polaris Dr and stay to the left. Destination will be located on the Right Look for signs directing you where to park. Please drive very slowly (15-20 miles per hour) on Polaris Drive as there are a lot of pedestrians walking the loop along with breeding pairs of geese that like to cross the road by the pond – Thank you for you consideration and we will see you soon!!
