NEVADA CITY, Calif. January 31, 2017 – Starting today, Hirschman Trail will frequently be closed during the week for fire clearing.  Due to the use of chainsaws and brush piles there will not be safe access to the trail while work is being completed.

Sierra Streams Institute is partnering with the City to complete this work.  Signs will be posted at trailheads to remind the public when trail closures are taking place.

Work will take place from 7am-4pm on Monday through Friday.  So the trail will be open after 3pm and on weekends.  Work is expected to take place from now to late February.  Weather could affect work dates.
