NEVADA CITY, Calif. November 8, 2016 – Polls are now open for the 2016 Presidential Election in California. You have until tonight at 8:00 pm to cast your vote in all the contests you’re eligible to vote.
Look up your polling place on the Secretary of State’s website or on the Nevada County website. The back of your sample ballot also has the same information.
If you are one of the 23,536 vote-by-mail (VBM) voters that has not returned their ballot, join the 29,633 VBM voters whose ballots have been received by the Elections Office as of Monday night.
Your vote-by-mail ballot must be delivered by close of polls on November 8, 2016 to the Elections Office or dropped off at a polling place in Nevada County. If you decide to mail your ballot it must be postmarked on or before November 8, 2016, and received by the elections office no later than November 14, 2016.
