Grass Valley, CA March 29, 2018 – The Nevada Irrigation District (NID) Board of Directors voted to approve an agreement for the installation of a waterline at the new Timberwood Estates subdivision during its March 28 meeting.

Present were President William Morebeck, Vice President John H. Drew, and Directors Nancy Weber, Nick Wilcox and Scott Miller.

The Board unanimously approved a conveyance agreement with Hilbers New Homes, L.P., for the installation of about 2,161 lineal feet of 8-inch pipe at Timberwood Estates off of Brunswick Way in Grass Valley. All costs will be paid by the developer. Read more here.

The General Manager reported District water storage is 248,833 acre-feet, which is 136 percent of average and 92 percent of maximum capacity. For March Bowman Lake has received 20.34 inches of precipitation – that’s 192 percent of average!

The next regular meeting of the NID Board of Directors will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the NID Business Center located at 1036 West Main Street, Grass Valley. NID Board meetings are open to the public.
