These burns will be specifically targeting Scotch Broom which has dominated a large section of the school property since the Lobo Fire in 2017. In addition, there is an educational component with the goal of providing hands-on training for the CHIRP land stewardship crew. These burns will have an emphasis on cultural elements of burning, and act as a reconnection point for the Nevada City Rancheria, while improving the health diversity of this landscape.
