Under the direction of Cheryl Woldseth, the 70-member Nevada County Concert Band expands to nearly 120 musicians as we invite musicians from all over to join us for the day — all in the beautiful outdoor setting of Nevada City’s Pioneer Park bandshell. This one-day Band Musician Invitational event draws another 50+ registered guest musicians, creating a mid-summer extravaganza.
With the concert theme “Back to the Future,” we will travel about 100 years into the past, then hop skip and jump forward in time. Music includes “The Prohibition Era March,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Back to the Future,” and much more.
Gather your friends, family, neighbors, and club members for a relaxed and festive evening. Bring a picnic dinner or grab something tasty from our hot dog and ice cream vendors. Settle in with your lawn chair or blanket and let the music carry you away! This event is family-friendly and wheelchair accessible, and leashed dogs are welcome.
