Reports of widespread flooding throughout Nevada County. Combie Road is flooding due to overtopping of the adjacent Ragsdale Creek. While road crews will be working on county drainage to minimize the impacts, there is little crews can do until creek levels recede.

Roads throughout Alta Sierra and southern Nevada County have also been hard hit, with localized flooding reports along portions of Brewer Road, Magnolia Road, Carrie Drive, and Oscar Drive. Flooding issues also along portions of Pleasant Valley Road.

A full compliment of county crews are en route to these and other flooding locations and are doing everything they can to keep flooding to a minimum. Our phone lines are also being inundated with flooding and drainage concerns. If you have a localized flooding location you would like to report, we would strongly encourage you to submit your request through our ‘Ask Nevada County’ service request system. The link is included below.

We encourage drivers to drive slow and cautiously through these and other locations today, and thank you for your patience as this atmospheric river event moves through the county.
