August 24, 2018 at 9:19 AM Gusty winds enhance fire danger this weekend. Gusty winds are possible over the northern Sierra, potentially up to 35 mph at the crest Sunday afternoon and evening. This combined with low humidity and very dry fuels will heighten fire weather concerns in that area. A gradual improvement in smoky conditions is expected over much of the region.
