November 28, 2022 at 8:05 PM Reported accident, heard only. on Hwy 49 near Lime Kiln Road. Units dispatched to check.

November 28, 2022 at 5:56 PM Missing dog: Yuba about 3 year old mostly black McNab, missing from home off of Excelsior Ditch Camp near Augustine Rd in Nevada City, should have a collar with name and phone number, however he’s my landlady’s & she’s out of the country, and I’m watching him so the # on the tag is hers. I am hoping someone found him and tried to reach her but hasn’t been able to yet. The property isn’t fenced in, he usually doesn’t wander on his own and stays close by, her other dog is here. However, he has gotten spooked by loud sounds before and ran away once, he made it all the way down to the 49 bridge. He’s very used to me and so I don’t think he just ran away because she’s gone. He’s very sweet, approachable and anxious, most likely would be scared if found. Sammies and GV Shelter were both closed by the time I got finished checking with the neighbors, so unsure if he was turned in, I’ll call again tomorrow. Last seen late morning, and it was around 3pm that it became weird that I hadn’t seen him in awhile and I started to look/call for him. If you have seen him or have him with you, please text or call me 310-384-4575.

November 7, 2022 at 8:42 AM From a reader: Yesterday on Nov. 6 between 6:50 pm and 10pm a light mustard orange colored hooded jacket fell off the back of my truck into the road. It had my cell phone in the pocket. It mostly likely dropped onto the road on Pleasant Valley Rd near Wildwood Storage, or between there and Highway 20 around 6:50 pm. It could have dropped anywhere along highway 20 or on Highway 49 between Grass Valley and Auburn or between Auburn and Sacramento on the 80 from 7-10pm. It took us a while to realize it was missing but it probably fell off right away, so closer to 7pm and most likely in Penn Valley.
This phone is not backed up. It has two years worth of irreplaceable photos on it. There is a large reward for it’s return, no questions asked AT ALL. You’re a hero if you return it. The iPhone is a RED SE model and has a clear case on it with a white rectangular blank sticker. I’d love the jacket back, but it’s not important AT ALL. I’m DESPERATE, however, to get this phone back. If you saw the jacket on the road or have seen anything at all, including on social media, please call 415-533-1330 or email lilbitthandy@gmail.com. Any info is greatly appreciated.
